Your Donations Can Change a Girl's Life.

By supporting the education of girls in Bangladesh, we invest in a brighter future for individuals, families, communities, and the nation as a whole. It is a pathway towards a more prosperous, and sustainable Bangladesh.

Equality and Empowerment

Education provides girls with opportunities to develop their potential, make informed choices, and actively participate in society. It empowers them to help families and contribute to a more equal and inclusive Bangladesh.

Break the Cycle of Poverty

Educating girls is one of the most effective ways to break the cycle of poverty. When girls receive an education, they have better chances of securing stable employment, earning higher incomes, and improving their families' socio-economic status.

Health and Well-being

Education equips girls with knowledge about health, hygiene, and nutrition. It helps them make informed decisions about their own well-being, resulting in better health outcomes for themselves and their families.

Social Progress and Stability

Educated girls contribute to the overall social progress and stability of Bangladesh. They bring positive changes to their communities, drive social innovation, and inspire future generations.

Reduced Child Marriage

Education is a powerful tool in combating child marriage. When girls stay in school, they are better adapted to help their current and future family.

Economic Development

Educated girls contribute to the economic development of Bangladesh. By acquiring knowledge and skills, they become valuable assets in the workforce, driving productivity, innovation, and overall economic growth.

Gender Equality

Supporting girls' education promotes gender equality and improvement of society.

Sustainable Development Goals

Educating girls aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including quality education, gender equality, poverty eradication, and good health and well-being.

In July 2003 Dr. Afia Dil laid the foundation stone of the school.  The first school buildings consisted of one concrete structure with four rooms and a tin structure with five rooms.  In 2006, an additional two story concrete structure with six rooms was built.  Starting with a 6th grade class of 60 students in 2003, the school added grades yearly, until by 2008 it covered grades 6-10.  It received government grants to fund six teachers and a school head teacher.

By 2019 the school had over 600 students and the tin structure had deteriorated.  At that time, Mr. Afzal Munir, a member of the community who served as School Committee Chair for many years obtained a Government grant to build a 4 story building with 20 rooms on the school grounds.  The building was completed in 2022.
